Hadith #1001

The Pure Lineage of the Greatest and Noblest Prophet ﷺ Sayyiduna MUHAMMAD ﷺ s/o ‘Abdullah s/o ‘Abdul Muttalib s/o Haashim s/o ‘Abd Manaaf s/o Qusay s/o Kilaab s/o Murrah s/o Ka’b s/o Lu’aiy s/o Ghalib s/o Fihr s/o Maalik s/o Nadr s/o Kinanah s/o Khuzaymah s/o Mudrikah s/o Ilyas s/o Mudar s/o Nizaar s/o Ma’ad s/o Adnan. (Sahih Al-Bukhari, Book of the Virtues of Al-Ansar, The Advent of the Prophet ﷺ) Historians have unanimously agreed that the lineage of the Beloved and Blessed Prophet ﷺ up to ‘Adnan’ is authentically proved. However, there is a great difference of opinion over the names before it.
